Herkunft auch die Intention hat, unterschiedliche Kulturen in der Musik zu vereinen. Inspiriert durch aktuelle
Themen, gegen Gewalt an Frauen, dem Schutz unserer Natur, Solidarität ohne Grenzen und menschlichen Dialog,
bewegt sich die vielfältige Musik zwischen Genres, wie Mbalax, Folk, Latin , Blues und African Pop. Der Sänger und
Entertainer Karim Thiam trägt mit seinen selbst geschriebenen Liedern und Texten und seiner energiegeladenen
Positivität auf der Bühne dazu bei, durch lebensfrohe Musik starke Botschaften zu senden.
Außerdem spielt Karim in seinem Soloprogramm eine Vielfalt an Instrumenten, die den Liedern ihren einzigartigen
Charakter verleihen. Präsentiert werden Instrumente, wie Tama, Doundoun, Xalam und Djembe. Auch die klassische
Rhythmusgitarre darf auf keiner Bühne fehlen.
Karim Thiam was born on Sept 1983, in Kaolack, Senegal
Kaolack is the original center of music and culture in Senegal.
At the age of 5 years he started making Theater music (folklore music), inspired by the versatile cultur of his homecountry.
His formation as folklore musician, dancer and choreograph made him an international well-known musician.
After 12 years of touring the world with Andre Hellers show “Afrika Afrika”
Karim Thiam is back in Austria to furthermore dedicate his time to his multicultural project
“Mr. Ambassador”.
Karim Thiam`s project, Mr. Ambassador “Voice of Afrika” band, mostly plays “Mbalax”-ethnos music, acoustic, African pop, folk, Worldmusic, African Groove and Blues.
The music of Mr. ambassador, Karim Thiam, relates to the social life in Africa, education of children, policy for sustainable environment and questions of Energy, the economical situation of the African people and the impact on their
lives, to show and understand the real image of Africa.
